The accreditation is an outstanding achievement for Prim-Ed Publishing as it is recognition of hard work and dedication of the team in providing a best in class service to their customers.
This is an independently verified standard mark for indigenous businesses, based on rigorous selection criteria. The accreditation is overseen by the prestigious All-Ireland Business Foundation, whose adjudication panel is chaired by Dr Briga Hynes of the Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick and Kieran Ring, CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics.
For over 20 years, Prim-Ed Publishing has been working with teachers to provide tailored resources to meet the very specific needs of pupils in Irish classrooms. In recent years, the company has gone global. This means similar educational resources are being tailored for classrooms in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Malaysia.
Prim-Ed Publishing has been working closely with R.I.C. Publications since the mid 2000s and the global takeover has seen Prim-Ed Publishing extend its operation across five continents, with sales and licensing agreements in 22 countries.
Prim-Ed Publishing is the number one provider of educational resources across each area of the primary school curriculum. The portfolio of company products includes photocopiable teacher resources, boxed products for comprehension, literacy and mathematics, problem-solving, workbooks, posters, stickers, eBooks and software.
Responding to today’s announcement, Andrew Irish, Marketing Manager at Prim-Ed Publishing says, “The team here at Prim-Ed Publishing are delighted to receive the Business All-Star accreditation. Providing high-quality educational resources is at the core of what we do, and to receive such a prestigious Accreditation for this is immensely gratifying. The team continues to grow, within Ireland and across the globe, striving to provide educational resources covering all subject areas. Prim-Ed resources are written by practicing classroom teachers to ensure they are aligned with the curriculum and satisfy the needs of teachers and pupils alike. Completing each stage of the production process within the organisation is achieved with a collaborative effort, by a team of dedicated people, around the world.”
He adds, “Prim-Ed Publishing would also like to take this opportunity to thank the principals, teachers, SNAs, school support staff, retailers, parents, guardians, and all of those who have supported us over our 25 years involved in educational publishing. We appreciate the recognition of our hard work by the All-Ireland Business Foundation, and look towards the future with the ambition of continuing to provide classrooms with educational resources tailored to their needs.”
Kieran Ring, Deputy Chair on the Adjudication Board said in support of the announcement: “This certificate verifies that Prim-Ed Publishing has achieved AIBF 2021-1014 All-Star Educational Resource Company Of The Year 2021 Accreditation, in recognition of the company’s outstanding contribution to the education sector. Furthermore, we wish to recognise Prim-Ed Publishing's conduct in the areas of trust, commitment, performance & customer centricity. Prim-Ed Publishing is hereby included in the AIBF Register Of Irish Business Excellence.”
Dr Hynes said the accreditation, which is now held by over 350 firms, is needed by the thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards, but have nothing to measure them by.
“We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance, and we speak to customers, employees and vendors. We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience. The business goes through at least two interviews and is scored on every part of the process against set metrics”, she said.
