World Youth Skills Day celebrates the importance of providing pupils with the relevant skills to navigate their daily lives, including promoting employment and entrepreneurship. We believe that it is crucial for all pupils to learn the importance of exercising these practical skills.
What better day to practise these skills than on World Youth Skills Day on the 15th July? To celebrate, we are giving you a sample from our Design and Technology series as a freebie!
Using project-based learning, the series is designed to teach pupils the content, skills and processes of design and technology. The areas covered include: food, cooking and nutrition; clothing and textiles; building and construction; and technological advancements. These skills are taught through hands-on, real-world projects and promote pupils’ development of practical knowledge.
This series encourages enquiry-based lessons to feed your pupils’ curiosity and includes extensive teacher notes to guide your explanations and teaching.
